Permit-Required Confined Space Entry Training
OSHA-aligned training for construction and general industry to recognize, assess, and control permit-required confined space hazards, and to implement safe entry and rescue procedures.
Overview
Confined spaces can present immediate and severe hazards due to limited entry/exit and hazardous atmospheres or physical conditions. This Permit-Required Confined Space Entry Training is designed to help workers and supervisors understand OSHA requirements (29 CFR 1910.146 for General Industry and 29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA for Construction), evaluate confined space hazards, correctly complete permits, and prepare effective rescue plans.
Why this training matters
Between 2011 and 2018 over 1,000 workers were killed in confined space incidents (CFOI, BLS). Many tragedies are preventable with proper training, hazard recognition, atmospheric testing, permit procedures, and rescue preparedness. This course equips participants to make informed, safer decisions when working with permit spaces.
Who should attend
- Entry supervisors and attendants
- Authorized entrants and rescue team members
- Safety coordinators and site managers
- Maintenance, construction, and operations personnel who may encounter confined spaces
Learning Objectives
